Last month we told you about the multi-talented guys who turned to crowdfunding to bring craft beer to downtown Erie, and also got a chance to meet them ourselves.

A little further south in Braddock, which has received national attention for its revitalization efforts, a similar scene is brewing.

Two Carnegie Mellon University graduates have launched a startup microbrewery called The Brew Gentlemen Beer Co. and are among the throngs hitting up Kickstarter for funding. The duo is more than halfway to their $25,000 goal, with more than 30 days to go, so things are looking good.

And with good reason. The long-term goal is to create a competitive regional brewery that helps put the Pittsburgh region on the map for craft beer and fuel revitalization in Braddock.
