Six Pittsburgh area companies made
Forbes magazine's list of America's largest privately held companies for 2007, reported the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
Leading the group was grocer Giant Eagle Inc., at No. 39 out of 441, with $8 billion in revenue. Altoona, Blair County-based convenience store operator Sheetz was No. 82, with revenue of $4.4 billion, while North Strabane, Washington County-based building products provider 84 Lumber Co. was No. 132, with $3.1 billion.
