Rivers Casino will add 400 more jobs with the advent of table games in Pittsburgh, according to Pittsburgh Business Times.
The Rivers initially struggled with revenue, coming in below projections and raising concerns from credit rating agencies about its ability to fulfill scheduled payments to the new Pittsburgh Penguins arena, the Consol Energy Center. However, in recent months Rivers Casino has seen a bump in traffic; it brought in $21.6 million in March. That's up from February's $17.2 million.
The table game layout will include 42 blackjack tables, 24 poker tables and a handful of each of the less common games, such as craps and roulette. Several high-profile poker tournaments are already being planned, according to Corey Plummer, vice president of gaming.
