LoRes-TV: Bringing Braddock Back

When your mayor is 6-foot-8 with tatoos of the town zip code and dates of local murders on each of his beefy forearms, attention is inevitable. But there's something larger at play in Braddock, a suburb of less than 3,000 people east of Pittsburgh in Allegheny County that has lost 90 percent of its population since the steel industry collapsed.

John Fetterman moved here to work with underserved youth and has since made it his own personal mission to bring hope back to a town that was once a thriving hub of suburban activity. Jeans-maker Levi's fell in love with Braddock so much it devoted an entire advertising campaign to the town.
