There's more than the Lombardi Trophy and bragging rights among two of the NFL's oldest and most storied franchises on the line on Sunday for Super Bowl XLV in Texas. And it involves a different kind of cheese.
Penn Future will take on Clean Wisconsin in
Enviro Bowl 2011, a friendly competition for donations among the respective environmental leaders of Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, adding some sustainability to Super Bowl Sunday, which features our Pittsburgh Steelers against the Green Bay Packers.
The losing organization must change its
Facebook page to reflect support of the winning organization's home team during the Super Bowl, and that organization's leader must videotape a message to the other's supporters while dressed in the home team's apparel.
Pittsburgh City Council did its part by declaring this week (Jan. 31-Feb. 6) Penn Future Week in the City of Pittsburgh. Penn Future president Jan Jarrett makes her case for PA (and the Steelers) in the video below. You can make a donation
here or by phone (717-214-7920).
