LoResTV: RoboWorld a Slam Dunk

It can shoot layups or fire long-range shots with amazing accuracy. Just don't douse it with Gatorade. This basketball shooter is a robot and part of the RoboWorld exhibit at the Carnegie Science Center in Pittsburgh.

Dubbed "Hoops," the orange robotic arm feeds itself the ball and makes about 98 percent of its shots. Other exhibits give visitors the chance to play air hockey or foosball against a robot. RoboWorld also shows how robots can read humans' facial expressions and lets Star War fans take their picture with C-3PO.
