There's a need for speed in Central and Northern PA, and the regional Ben Franklin Technology Partners (BFTP) contingent there has just put its collective foot on the 'TechCelerator.'
BFTP of Central and Northern PA cut the ribbon last Thursday on its TechCelerator program and space at the
Murata Business Center in Carlisle. The launch
expands the services BFTP offers to entrepreneurs and business clients.
Inventors and early stage entrepreneurs are the focus of the TechCelerator program, which includes a designated shared space and array of pre-launch business and market research services to help participants -- usually in groups of less than 10 entrepreneurs focused on technology including software and light manufacturing -- refine their business concepts and turn them into reality. BFTP partnered with the
Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC on the TechCelerator. It also means a new name for the Murata Business Center, which will now be known as the TechCelerator.
The first TechCelerator class is already underway and BFTP is accepting applications for six open seats for its summer TechCelerator class through June 15.
Here's an inside look at the TechCelerator:
