Ben Franklin Technology Partners SEP created or retained 711 Jobs in 2013

Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Southeastern Pennsylvania had another very good year. Their work supporting, funding and mentoring regional companies contributed to 711 jobs being created or retained in a five-county area, which includes Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties. The organization also registered an all-time high of 27 company formations.

“Our team is very pleased with these results, particularly in an environment of continued economic challenge,” said RoseAnn B. Rosenthal, President and CEO of Ben Franklin, in a release. “Entrepreneurs in our region continue to innovate and take the risks to start enterprises that are solving problems, developing new markets and generating the jobs our region needs.”

New Jobs Created: 514
Existing Jobs Retained: 197
New Companies Started: 27
New Products and Processes Developed: 76

Since its foundation in 1983, Ben Franklin SEP has helped create 11,734 jobs, and develop 1,559 new products and processes.
