In June, Keystone Edge continued our adventures #OutOnTheEdge, heading to Lehigh University in Bethlehem for a visit to Ben Franklin TechVentures, a remarkable incubator for promising early-stage companies in northeastern PA.

We met with multiple area entrepreneurs, including representatives from LifeAire, TB BioSciences, BioMed Sciences and Applied Separations. These exciting companies are tackling essential real world problems such as IVF success rates, burn treatment, complex manufacturing and managing tuberculosis worldwide. In the coming weeks, we'll share some of those stories, but for now, we thought we'd offer readers a peak at this high-tech space, carved out of an old Bethlehem Steel R&D facility.

The recently-completed addition is LEED certified, and even boasts a super high-tech automated lighting system designed by local company Lutron. The facility as a whole boasts wet labs, flexible offices and innovative wired collaborative space. It's a powerful launching pad for Lehigh Valley Companies, many of which grow thanks to support from Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Northeastern PA.

So, stay tuned for more on our trip to TechVentures, and keep an eye out for us #OutOnTheEdge.
