Lebanon Valley Economic Development Corp. to build new headquarters

on

With its plan to build a new 2,550-square foot home in the Lebanon Valley Business Park, Lebanon Valley Economic Development Corporation  is giving itself a facelift and the local construction industry an economic boost.

Executive director Charles Blankenship says the organization will benefit from a more corporate image in the new facility, which replaces a converted ranch house in South Lebanon Township.

“We’ve been saving for this move,” Blankenship says. “There are two reasons to do it now: one, to take advantage of lower construction  costs and two, to act as a stimulus for construction jobs in the county.”

LVEDC will continue to promote local business opportunities and  its three industrial parks: Lebanon Valley Business Park, Lebanon Rails Business Park, and Hawk Acres Enterprise Place. With an annual budget of just over $600,000, the  organization has over 40 members, mostly within county lines.
