AlphaLab Gear fosters hardware and robotics startups

on

Dubbed one of “9 Hot Startup Accelerators” by CNN Money, AlphaLab Gear was launched by Innovation Works to help start and grow successful technology companies in the Pittsburgh region. AlphaLab Gear is an accelerator for hardware, robotics and other physical-product startups that provides investment, expert mentorship, manufacturing equipment and know-how in a collaborative work space. The eight-month program leverages Pittsburgh’s deep expertise in manufacturing; the region’s world-class university research in robotics, software, engineering and related technologies; and Innovation Works’ experienced team and network of mentors.

AlphaLab Gear is an extension of AlphaLab, one of the nation’s first and most successful startup accelerators. AlphaLab has helped more than 150 entrepreneurs launch 67 companies, including some of the fastest growing startups in the Pittsburgh region.
